College Mentorship

On September 21, 2016, Esperanza proudly launched its College Mentorship Program…with a goal to recruit 100 mentors in 100 days for our students currently enrolled in post-secondary opportunities. We received funds from The Business of Good Foundation to provide the majority of start-up costs for the program.

We need caring volunteers like YOU to serve as a mentor to our College Students. In June 2016, we distributed 96 college scholarships. College Mentors will provide these Scholarship Recipients and four Esperanza Alumni with the encouragement they need to not just get through college, but thrive and make the world a better place.

The premise of College Mentorship stems from the fact that one small and short encounter with mentor-mentee can impact a life forever. One small text comforting a student when they have a disagreement with a roommate… a quick email to say, “Hope all is well...” can add to the likelihood of our students not only matriculating, but graduating college. We just require 30 minutes a month!

Okay, we know you are sold, so visit MentorCliq to begin the process.
