STEAM Summer Camp

Our annual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Camp runs during the summer months of June and July from Monday to Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm. Students entering grades 5-8 in the fall are eligible to enroll in our FREE summer camp.

Through partnerships and educational curriculum, we use creative arts as mechanisms for students to express themselves using cultural concepts as the foundation of activities. Our camp focuses on building students’ knowledge and confidence in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math; while also providing strong literacy, socio-emotional and health components.

This experience includes group and individual mentoring. Programs work to raise Cleveland Metropolitan School District Hispanic graduation rate with curriculum focused on personal growth, developing resiliency & leadership; career & cultural awareness; community service; public policy education; & financial literacy.

STEAM camps are a great way for kids to explore their interests in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics in a fun and engaging way. They offer a variety of benefits, including:

Exposure to new topics and ideas. STEAM camps offer a wide range of topics, from coding to robotics to engineering. This gives kids the opportunity to explore new areas of interest and learn about things they might not have otherwise been exposed to.

Hands-on learning. STEAM also emphasizes hands-on learning, which allows kids to apply what they’re learning in a real-world context. This helps them develop a deeper understanding of the concepts and skills they’re learning.

Problem-solving skills. Attending a STEAM camp often involve problem-solving challenges, which helps kids develop their critical thinking and analytical skills. This is an important skill for success in school and in the workforce.

Creativity and innovation. STEAM camps encourage kids to be creative and innovative. This helps them develop their own unique solutions to problems.

Teamwork skills. Many STEAM camps involve teamwork activities, which helps kids learn how to work effectively with others. This is an important skill for success in school and in the workplace.

Confidence. These gatherings can help kids build confidence in their abilities. This is because they are often challenged to learn new things and solve problems. When they succeed, they feel a sense of accomplishment that can boost their self-esteem.

Fun! STEAM camps are a lot of fun! Kids get to learn about cool topics, do hands-on activities, and meet other kids who share their interests. This makes learning more enjoyable and memorable.
