SISCO I
For
middle school students
The SISCO I Program serves middle school
students attending Buhrer School, Joseph M. Gallagher
School and Lincoln West High School. SISCO tries to
reduce the high drop-out rate among Hispanic students by
focusing on tutoring, enrichment and motivation.
SISCO I offers students:
- in-school tutoring,
- after-school tutoring and enrichment activities,
- student and parent workshops,
- high school visits,s
- merit activities, and
- a summer Enrichment Program.
Goals of the SISCO I
Program:
- Middle school SISCO I students demonstrate increased self esteem.
- Participation encourages school attendance.
- Activities provide students with the skills to achieve academically
- Program efforts work to improve participants' decision-making ability.
- Service activities allow students and opportunity to give back to their community.
- The program prepares students for success in high school.

SISCO II For high school students

The SISCO
II Program serves Hispanic students attending
Cleveland high schools. After-school programming helps
students perform well in school, improve scores on
proficiency and college entrance exams, explore career
options, and pursue college and job opportunities after
completing high school.
SISCO II offers students:
- ACT/SAT college entrance exam preparation,
- academic and homework tutoring,
- proficiency review classes,
- job preparation
- college visits and applications assistance,
- financial aid guidance for students and parents,
- a Summer Enrichment Program, and
- scholarship for college.
Goals of the SISCO II Program:
- Activities focus on improving grades and overall
academic skills.
